Remastering

If you want to revisit an existing, already-mastered recording to improve its sound quality or adapt it to modern playback formats, The Airlab can remaster your material using high-end modern tools.

The goal is to enhance clarity, depth, and balance across all frequencies, ensuring the audio sounds its best on contemporary systems.

SOUND RESTORATION

Sound restoration can surgically repair a wide range of issues on any recording, from vintage tapes to modern digital files. We can target:
  • Constant Noise: Hiss from old tapes, hum and buzz from electrical equipment, or the rumble of air conditioning. We can remove the noise without removing the soul of the recording.
  • Impulsive Noise: The sharp clicks, pops, and crackles from dusty or scratched vinyl records. These can be individually identified and silenced for a smooth listening experience.
  • Distortion & Clipping: That harsh, fuzzy sound when a recording was made too loud. Restoration can often reshape the damaged audio waves to recover a more natural, pleasant sound.
  • Muffled & Unbalanced Sound: When a recording sounds “dull,” “thin,” or “muddy.” We can rebalance the frequencies to restore brightness to instruments and clarity to voices.
Applications: Music, Film and Media, Archive and Memories, Forensic.
